Design Research
One of my favorite pastimes in life is observing humans do human things and practicing acceptance of those observed behaviors through understanding. It's a curiosity that directly fuels my research practice, where I leverage mixed methodologies to get a closer, more personal look at users.
When interacting with users, my goal is to uncover the authentic how and why without ever leading the witness. Once the data is in, I synthesize the findings into clear, accessible visual elements, turning complex data points into intuitive insights that any stakeholder can immediately understand.
My research toolkit includes:
-
Generative & evaluative research: Contextual inquiry (user interviews), conversation mining, card sorting, tree testing and heuristic evaluations.
-
Interaction design: Survey design, A/B testing, and the user research to validate design decisions.
